Kulbir Kalsi : Divendu Sharma’s films thus far seem to see him having a tough luck with girls, while he stalked girls in his first film PYAR KA PANCHNAMA, CHASHME BHADDOOR too saw him having a similar fate with girls, and guess what, his next is called DILLIWALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND, which clearly speaks for itself.
Given his penchant for such roles, Divyendu needed to be asked if his choice of roles come from personal experience to which the actor refuted vehemently. Sharma who plays the lead in Japinder Kaur’s DILLIWALI ZAALIM GIRLFRIEND, said he hasn’t stalked girls, neither any of his girlfriends been ‘zaalim’, “I am quite fortunate that I had no cruel girlfriends in my personal life. In case of girlfriends, I faced no such memorable incident and I don’t think I’m a kind of guy who hangs around girls all day long. My mind was always into theater. About Delhi girls, not just girls from Delhi but, girls of every city are cruel.
I believe that in case of girls you cannot target just one city. Everywhere there are good as well as bad girls present and it all really depends on personal experiences. It is possible that the guy who brands his girl as ‘zaalim’ that girl may believe that he did not understand her well. It’s the most natural thing to have two different stories from the two different people. Yes, some girls are clever enough but then again everybody has their own point of view.”
Dilliwali Zaalim Girlfriend starring Divyendu Sharma, Ira Dubey, Jackie Shroff, Prachi Mishra and Pradhuman Singh, produced by Manjeet kaur and Tarnpreet Singh. The film’s music is on T-series and is distributed by Waves Cinema and is slated for 20th March release.
