With 5 teams and 70 film and TV celebrities, BCL-Punjab is all set to entertain with this unique format of the game
With five teams and 70 biggest Punjabi celebrities, movie and music stars, Box Cricket League-Punjab is coming your way soon. Its going to be north region’s biggest sports entertainment show and Punjab’s first ever unisex celebrity cricket show. BCL-Punjab is brought to you by Leostride Entertainment & Xamm Telemedia Works, in association with Balaji Telefilms and Marinating Films.
Owner of the league, Sumit Dutt elaborates, “Box Cricket League-Punjab is poised to change the face of Punjabi entertainment, bringing together the biggest Punjabi celebrities, movie & music stars from across the world.” Sumit has deep association with Bollywood industry. He has directed some of the most popular film songs of Bollywood blockbusters for superstars like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Asin, Jacqueline Fernandez etc. Some of these songs are Dhinka Chika (Ready), Character Dheela (Ready), Desi Beat (Bodyguard), Jai Ho (title track) and Party All Night (Boss).
Special guest on this occasion singer-rapper Hard Kaur said, “With this unisex format of the game where men and women play together, we want to propagate the message of BCL Punjab bats for equality. In our league girls shall play at par with the boys.”
Popular Punjabi singer Miss Pooja said, “I’m excited to welcome Punjab’s very first unisex sport reality show. BCL Punjab will create a new level of excitement where the viewers will see a new avatar of Punjabi kudiyaan.”
The five teams are Chandigarhiye Yankies, Royal Patialvi, Ambersariye Hawks, Jalandhariye Panthers and Ludhianvi Tigers. Big names from Bollywood and Pollywood are said to be buying these teams. Days ahead are full of excitement, adventure and enthusiasm.
The last season of BCL (Hindi) was held in Mumbai with 150 TV and film stars participating. It got a huge response from the audience and the unisex format of the game was much loved. Sumit further said, “BCL-Punjab is a platform for the global Punjabis. Our aim is to bring together big names of the industry which will be an absolute treat for the Punjabi viewers.”
